Raelias Sunbled

Last of the sin’dorei to voluntarily wear the name “Sunbled,” Raelias is the only remaining remnant of a dynasty that lost its way after Kael’thas’s betrayal of his people to the Burning Legion.

When Raelias fled to Outland after Arthas’s devastating push through Silvermoon and to the Sunwell on Quel’danas, he immediately found himself at the foot of the Black Temple, where he was promised not only power, but the means with which he could destroy the beings responsible for empowering the Scourge in the first place.

Quickly, however, Raelias realized that Illidan’s means were not always justified by the ends, and he began to speak out against the Lord of Outland more vocally with each passing day. For his efforts, Raelias, and a few others who thought as he did, were sent on an off-world mission through a one-way portal.

The tale of how Raelias Sunbled encountered Tharion Greyseer on this nameless world, and how the two of them were able to return, is still one that neither is willing to talk about openly. However, it is known that Tharion agreed to continue Raelias’s training, and even allowed him to found a branch of the Netherbane beneath the banner of the Horde.
