Keidara grew up in Silvermoon under the careful watch of her family. During these years, she often heard a long, reviled name mentioned in back room whispers: "Sunbled," one of the fallen dynasties of the sin'dorei.
Knowing herself to be distantly related to the Sunbled dynasty, the young woman struck out from home to discover the origins of the name--and the hatred with which it was so often spoken. Her search led her to Outland and the Illidari, where it was whispered that one of the dynasty might still live. Feeling the hunger that gnawed at her insides from her time away from the Sunwell and its ruins, Keidara was taken in by the demon hunters and given a new source to satiate her addiction: fel energy.
Keidara was imprisoned along with the rest of the Illidari, and was only released from the Vault of the Wardens during the Burning Legion’s third invasion. Fleeing the sudden war, she returned home to Silvermoon, believing her search a failure. By chance, however, Keidara managed to find someone who claimed to know of this last remaining Sunbled. She dogged him through the streets and into an inn, where she was surprisingly invited to sit and eat lunch. Only because of the actions of an orc blademaster did Kei discover the truth: the man she spoke with was Raelias Sunbled.
When he finally admitted that her addiction to fel-energy was beyond his expertise, Raelias sent Keidara to Tharion Greyseer, where she agreed to join the Netherbane’s cause and learn how to best control her growing fel addiction. She’s currently living off fel crystals acquired from Silvermoon. Thanks to Raelias granting her access to the Sunbled fortune, she has been able to survive long enough to focus once again on her training.
