Fethas Soulthorn is a kaldorei demon hunter and one of the two thero’shan under Tharion Greyseer. Normally quiet and observant, Fethas’s reserved nature belies her unrestrained savagery in battle. It is often speculated that there is more to her aggression then just the influence of her demonic binding, but this has never actually been confirmed. Fethas prefers it this way, choosing to allow the rumors to go unanswered.
Despite the reservations that many have with her, Fethas has been known to focus her aggression against those who threaten the Netherbane. The members of the camp are family--the only family she currently believes she has left--and she is very protective of them, despite the friction that often occurs.
Her primary binding was to a pit lord known as Daeloth, the Silencer. A massive brute of a demon, Daeloth was imprisoned on Azeroth and stripped of much of his power before being slain and bound to the young night elf. It is believed to the be the primary source of her anger and aggression, and often the sole source to the voice she sometimes claims to hear.
However, it was not until Fethas uncovered the truth behind her parents’ deaths that she truly earned her name. Hunting a mad druid known as Gamahn Ashvine, Fethas was able to develop a special technique known as the Soulthorn--an experiment that was seeded into her at birth by Gamahn’s unrestrained experiments into fel-druidism. Mastering this technique, which allows Fethas to grow vines from permanent wounds cut into her lower arms, is what earned her the name Soulthorn. The soulthorn ability itself has been known to consume soul energy, often destroying weaker souls of anything pierced by the razor sharp vines that Fethas uses in combat.
Despite dedicating herself to the path of the Netherbane as a demon hunter, Fethas never left behind her passion for hunting and druidism. She can often be found meditating in the forest, both to help her control the soulthorn ability, and to bring herself back to a calm alignment with nature.
